This was report week!
Was expecting a call from AZEIP but it never came, instead got home Monday and checked the mail to find a written report. Stating "This letter is being written to inform you that Conor is eligible for the Arizona Early Intervention Program.... we found a 50% or more delay in the area of communication and a moderate delay in both cognitive and adaptive development."
Then, yesterday I get an email with a copy of the report from SW Human Development stating "Conor's eye contact was less than would be expected for a child his age..... Conor demonstrated some unusual behaviors and body movements, frequently flapped hands, looked out tops of his eyes, closed eyes while walking backwards, tipping head to side while running..... The Sensory Processing Measure indicated that Conor had some difficulty in the areas of visual, touch, body awareness, balance and motion, and planning and ideas. His total scores indicate overall difficulties with sensory processing when compared to other children his age...." It goes on and on and on...........
UGH........... So much to process. It is weird. I see everything they mention in both reports. I experience everything with Conor that they mention in both reports. But to read someone else's "interpretation" is just, I don't know, kinda of weird. But, none the less, they all conclude there is a problem. All 7 doctors agree that Conor needs additional help. "AT RISK OF AUTISM"......... Doesn't matter to me what they call it or don't call it. Conor is going to get help. THAT is all that matters to me.
In the report from AZEIP, they stated the next step will be that we will be contacted to schedule a time to plan for and/or develop a IFSP (Indiviudal Family Service Plan), It goes on to say that this IFSP process will basically be our "plan" for Conor and will set his path for treatment. Sooooooooo... These people can call any day now.... I am ready to get Conor started!

Wow Kerrie. That is heavy. What made you decide to have Conor checked? Prayers are with you, You are a great mom!
His pediatrition suggested getting him tested for Autism when he had his 2 year check up on Dec 19th. With Conor not saying 1 single word and a few other small issues, Dr Gettleman suggested he "just get checked to rule out Autism"..... Take us to today.....
